Thank you to Steve B for ringing the church bells this past week celebrating Portsmouth Peace Treaty Day, Joy in seeing Pastor Sue in church today, Blessings for the Canada Family, as they mourn the passing of Susan, for Jeff Spizale and his daughter Libby, for Phil Otto and his cancer journey, for the Family of Yeaton family mourning the loss of Tom Yeaton, for Eleanor Smith and family mourning the loss of her husband, continued prayers for Pastor Bob and for Sharon recuperating from her surgery, and for Linda French and her recovery journey.

Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Portsmouth! We hope that our website can help you get a feel for who we are and how we serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. While our church is location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we are a regional church with members in southern Maine and the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are diverse not only in geography but also in ethnicity, culture, theological understanding, sexual identity, abilities and economics. The one thing that draws us together is our faith in and love for Jesus Christ and our belief that there is room for all of us in God’s church. We hope that you will try us out.
