Continued healing for Pastor Bob, for Sharon Stewart and the monitoring of her heart, for Dennis Stewart and the healing post his surgery, for Lisa Alesandropoulis healing post her stroke and loss of her husband, for Jim and Jeannie, prayers of safety for Pete Engel’s relative who works for the Embassy in Dubai, and continued prayers for our world, our country and for ALL people regardless of who they love, how they identify, or where they come from.

Welcome to First United Methodist Church of Portsmouth! We hope that our website can help you get a feel for who we are and how we serve our Lord, Jesus Christ. While our church is location in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, we are a regional church with members in southern Maine and the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are diverse not only in geography but also in ethnicity, culture, theological understanding, sexual identity, abilities and economics. The one thing that draws us together is our faith in and love for Jesus Christ and our belief that there is room for all of us in God’s church. We hope that you will try us out.
