Roberta Lauretta Noble, a resident of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Exeter Hospital. She was born on March 1, 1933, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Willard G. and Mary (Gerlach) Noble. Raised with love by her father and her aunt Roberta Jones and uncle George Jones, Roberta cherished her family deeply.
Roberta graduated from Trenton Central High School and went on to make a significant impact through her career and community involvement. Prior to her retirement, she dedicated herself as an instructor and residential manager at Great Bay Services in Newington, NH. Her passion for helping others extended to her role as a hospice volunteer, where she provided comfort and care to those in need.
A woman of faith, Roberta was a former member of the First United Methodist Church, where she actively participated in the Peace Circle. Her interests in reading, crafts, and volunteering enriched the lives of many around her. She was a member of the senior center in Portsmouth and found joy in music, singing with the Sounds of the Seacoast and playing violin with the Portsmouth Academy String Adult Orchestra.
Roberta was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Benda, and her son, Charles Trott. She is survived by her loving children, Karen Bond of Fremont, NH, and David Trott of Strafford, NH; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother, Willard Noble, and his wife, Carol, of Burlington, NJ; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whom she considered family.
Roberta Lauretta Noble will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her community. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community.
