Reverend Betsy S. Webber passed on January 10, 2022.

Eldest daughter to John and Ruth (Hussey) Sargent.  She spent her childhood between Barnstead and Greenland, NH.  Graduate of Portsmouth High School in 1960/61 and mother of five children, Betsy went back to school to obtain a BA in Behavioral Science.  While attending college Betsy worked as secretary at the United Methodist Church in Portsmouth where she realized her calling to ministry.           

Betsy served as Pastor in West Newfields, Maine, So. Paris, Maine, Milton, New Hampshire, and returned to her beloved United Methodist Church in Portsmouth until her retirement.         

Betsy was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Paul D Webber and her younger brother Peter Sargent.  Betsy is survived by her siblings and their spouses, John and Paula Sargent, Kathy and Thomas Monaghan and James and Eleanor Sargent.  Her children and their spouses include, Peter and Karen Griffin, John and Leslie Webber, Laura and Robert Benadetto, Pamela and John Bast and Marsha and Mark Peacock.  As well as Paula Roberge, Greg Gaudreau, Linda Leclerc and Douglas Monaghan.         

Betsy enjoyed donating her time and resources to various organizations and charities.          

A celebration of life for Betsy and Paul will be held in the spring.
