Barbara I. Clement, 96, of Dover, widow of Robert H. Clement, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Riverside Rest Home in Dover.

She was born on October 9, 1925, in Somerville, Massachusetts, to Frank and L. Edna (Whitney) Komenda. Barbara was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1943.

Barbara worked with her husband, Bob, in their insurance and real estate business for many years. Later in her life she was employed at the First United Methodist Church in Portsmouth as the church secretary where she proudly retired at the age of 90.

She was a member of Past Worthy Matron and Adah Chapter #9, Order of the Eastern Star in Candia.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bob, in 2004, as well as by her granddaughter, Michelle Prince, and her sister, Dorothy Lake.

Family members include her daughter, Dorothy Prince (Warren) of Strafford; two grandchildren, Chris Prince (Debbie) of Barnstead and Sharon Kriete (Bill) of Barnstead; two great grandchildren, Madeline Kriete and Eli Kriete both of Barnstead; and a niece, Lucy Johnson of Sarasota, Florida. She also leaves special friends who were loved like family.
